What you need to know about purchasing SimaPro:

General Information

• Orders will not be processed until payment or a purchase order is received
• All orders must complete one of the above order forms
• Once all documents/payments are received and your order is processed, it will take two to four business days for you to receive your activation codes.
• If you choose to recieve the CD-ROM package, it will be mailed the following Thursday after your order is processed. (this is not needed to get started as all material is available online)

SimaPro - indefinite licenses

• include the ecoinvent database
• include a free first year service contract

SimaPro - temporary licenses

• are ideal for testing or when you have a limited budget or short project.
• run for a period of 12 months or any multiple thereof.
• will run as a demo after expiration: you can still access and print your data, but no longer edit it.
• can simply be renewed after expiration, without loss of data.
• include service and support.
• include the ecoinvent database.
• 12 month licenses (excluding Faculty) can be uprgraded to indefinite license any time during the 12 months and the full price of the temp will go towards the purchase.
• temporary multi user versions or temporary upgrades to another version available on request.

SimaPro - service contracts

• A service contract gives you software and database updates, support and membership of the SimaPro User Group.
• A free first year is included with each license.
• Order multiple years of service in advance and get a discount! We offer 5% discount on a 2 year renewal, 10% discount on a 3 year renewal.
• SimaPro users will recieve an email notification 2 months before their contract expires prompting renewal
• If you let a service contract lapse past the 5 month grace period, it can not be picked back up and you will have to re-purchase the license at 25% off to get back up to date.

Upgrading to a different version is easy: you only need to enter a new registration code. After upgrading you can still use the same database without any loss of data. Please contact us for price details.

The following upgrades are possible:

• from single user to multi user license (new installation required)
• from temporary to indefinite license
• from an educational to a professional license
• to a more advanced version (for example from Analyst to Developer)

Certain exceptions may apply.

Updating from a previous SimaPro version

If you have cancelled your SimaPro service contract and your license is now out of date, you can re-purchase the current SimaPro version with 25% discount in order to get back up to date.

A conversion tool is available to convert your database to the new format without loss of data.
